In the Great Commission recorded in Matthew 28:19-20, Jesus said, "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations,
baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have
commanded you."
At Arcadia we take this commission seriously and offer several opportunities to teach the Word (all that Jesus
commanded) and make disciples (train others to follow Jesus).  Here are some of these opportunities:

Preaching the Word
Current Morning Worship Series - Hebrews
Last Message - "Sacrifices that Please God" - Hebrews 13:15-17 (February 5, 2012)

Current Evening Worship Series - Revelation
Last Message - "Made to Worship Christ" - Revelation 1:4-8 (February 5, 2012)

Our Pastor
John M. Irwin has a B.A. in history from Sterling College and an M.Div. from Covenant Theological Seminary.  He was
licensed to preach by Westminster Presbytery of the Presbyterian Church in America and called by Arcadia in
November, 1999.  Ordained as a teaching elder in 2000, John has been at Arcadia for over 8 years now.
Rev. Irwin met our own Jennifer (Strickland) Irwin when she came back from mission work in Belize and Niger.  After
marrying in 2002, John and Jennifer now have 3 children, Elena (age 8), Micah (age 7), and Xander (age 3).  On
February 1, 2007, their third child, Carissa, died at 8 days and they lost twin boys, Ezekiel and Zacchaeus in June,
2010.  Pastor John and Jennifer hope to adopt some more children soon.

Adult Sunday School
We have recently revised our Adult Sunday School program and are excited about the new opportunities to disciple,
teach and train adults in the Word and for understanding how to apply the Bible to our lives.  We have an ambitious
10 Year Plan which will cover each section of the Bible, our Confession of Faith, and still leave room for some
practical courses on dealing with life as a Christian.  Come join us and learn together!
